Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to lead our financial operations and guide a skilled accounting team. This is a full-time, 100 % on-site opportunity in Provo, UT, ideal for a proactive leader who combines strong technical expertise with proven team management skills.
As Accounting Manager, you will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting functions while supporting strategic decision-making for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting and financial operations for the office.
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team (hiring, training, evaluations, and workflow management).
Enforce accounting policies and ensure compliance with GAAP and company standards.
Prepare and review internal and external financial statements, month-end, and year-end reports.
Manage inventory analysis in collaboration with the warehouse team for accurate valuations.
Audit payroll processes to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines and federal regulations.
Support billing, credit, and collections processes.
Review and reconcile journal entries, accruals, and general ledger activity.
Analyze profit and loss reports, job costing, and labor productivity to inform leadership decisions.
Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
5–7 years of progressive accounting experience.
Leadership:
Experience managing an accounting team of at least 3 employees.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of GAAP.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Hands-on expertise with journal entries, month-end close, financial analysis, budgeting, audits and Inventory
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Other:
