Key Responsibilities

- Record daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial documentation.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, invoice processing, and vendor account maintenance.
- Perform data entry, journal entries, bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and general ledger updates.
- Prepare Excel reports, financial records, and documentation for management review.
- Assist with month-end close activities, variance tracking, and internal reporting support.
- Maintain confidentiality, follow accounting policies, and help identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $26 to $31 per hour, depending on experience.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday.
- Location: San Diego, CA, Carmel Valley area.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support daily accounting operations across bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end close, variance tracking, reporting support, and accounting process improvements.

- 3 to 5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related finance experience.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, transaction processing, reconciliations, and financial documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for reporting, data entry, reconciliations, and financial record maintenance.
- Experience supporting invoices, billing, vendor accounts, customer accounts, and general ledger activity.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple accounting priorities in a deadline-driven setting.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting month-end close activities and internal financial reporting.
- Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems.
- Prior experience in a temp-to-hire or growing company environment.
- Interest in process improvement, workflow efficiency, and long-term career growth in accounting.
