Accounting Coordinator
Location: Wilmington, NC 28401
Salary: $70,000 – $80,000/yr. (based on experience)
An Entertainment company based in Wilmington, NC is seeking an Accounting Specialist to manage full-cycle A/P, A/R and Payroll processes across multiple entities. This role is well-suited for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment and is comfortable operating with autonomy.
Responsibilities
• Manage full-cycle A/P, A/R and Payroll processes across multiple entities
• Prepare and issue invoices; track collections and resolve discrepancies
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support month-end close process, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting support
• Maintain vendor files, W-9s, contracts, and compliance documentation
• Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns for multiple entities
• Coordinate payroll processing for employees across multiple states
• Validate timekeeping accuracy and payroll inputs
• Maintain personnel files, onboarding/offboarding documentation and HR records
• Process employee status changes and benefits updates in payroll & HRIS systems
• Support employment verifications, HR reporting, and process support
• Support ERP and system implementations or enhancements
• Assist in documenting and improving accounting and HR SOPs
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
• 4 years of work experience in accounting required; payroll experience preferred
• Must have prior ERP experience (SAP, NetSuite, MS Dynamics, Epicor, or similar)
• High attention to detail, strong judgment, and comfort operating independently
