Job Summary

A growing food and beverage production company in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for a part-time temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for someone with QuickBooks Desktop experience who enjoys a small office environment, steady daytime hours, and a mix of accounting, administrative, and office support responsibilities.

The Accounting Clerk will support day-to-day operations by processing invoices, maintaining accurate records, assisting with basic bookkeeping, organizing documents, and helping keep the office running smoothly. Key Responsibilities

- Process and manage approximately 10 invoices per day using QuickBooks Desktop.
- Enter, update, and maintain accurate accounting and administrative records.
- File and organize physical and electronic documents to ensure records remain current and accessible.
- Answer incoming phone calls, direct inquiries, and assist with office correspondence.
- Prepare and edit documents in Microsoft Word and update spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel.
- Support management with basic bookkeeping, general office duties, and special projects as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $22.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Hours: 30 hours per week.
- Position type: Part-time, temp-to-hire.
- Work environment: Friendly and supportive small-business office setting.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Process invoices and maintain accurate records using QuickBooks Desktop.
- Support accounts payable, invoicing, and basic bookkeeping functions.
- Provide administrative office support, including filing, phones, correspondence, and document preparation.
- Maintain organized office records and support day-to-day business operations.

- 1 to 2 years of administrative assistant, office assistant, accounting clerk, or bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop is required.
- Basic Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional phone, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and stay productive in a small office environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience handling accounts payable and invoicing.
- Experience working in manufacturing, food processing, food and beverage production, or a small business setting.
