Accounting Clerk

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to support our accounting and finance operations in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, and providing general administrative support to the accounting department. This role requires strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Review invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders for accuracy
Enter financial data into accounting software and maintain accurate records
Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
Prepare and distribute invoices, checks, and financial reports
Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding billing and payments
Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems
Support payroll processing and employee reimbursements as needed
Assist with audits and other accounting projects
Perform general administrative duties for the accounting department
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience preferred
Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar ERP systems
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Professional and dependable work ethic
Preferred Skills
Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
Knowledge of payroll processing
Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information
Experience working in a fast-paced office environment
