Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Day shift, 8-hour workday
Work Setting: Office
Job Summary
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the accounting department by maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely communication with vendors, clients, and internal departments. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle routine accounting tasks such as reconciliations, reporting, and record maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Communicate professionally with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding billing, payments, and account inquiries
Maintain and update financial records accurately and timely
Prepare basic financial reports and assist with monthly reporting activities
Reconcile monthly bank statements and investigate discrepancies
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Process invoices, payments, and documentation in accordance with company procedures
Support internal audits and year-end accounting processes as needed
Perform general clerical and administrative duties related to accounting functions
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
Previous bookkeeping or accounting support experience preferred
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel experience preferred)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
