Position Summary:
The Accounting Clerk supports the finance department by performing a variety of clerical and accounting tasks, including maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy in financial documentation. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions
• Prepare and issue invoices, and follow up on outstanding payments
• Reconcile bank statements and assist with account reconciliations
• Enter financial data into accounting systems with a high degree of accuracy
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation
• Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reports (if applicable)
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Review and verify financial documents for accuracy and completeness
• Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding billing and payments
• Assist with audits and provide documentation as requested
• Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and data entry

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
• 2-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical experience preferred
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
