Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support daily financial operations and ensure accuracy across transactions, reporting, and recordkeeping. Position Overview
The Accounting Clerk plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, supporting reporting efforts, and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting operations. This position works closely with multiple departments, including production, inventory, and payroll.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Process vendor invoices with accurate coding and ensure timely payments
Record payments and receipts; reconcile accounts as needed
Verify purchase orders, receipts, and invoices for accuracy
Follow up on overdue accounts and communicate with customers
Data Entry & Recordkeeping
Maintain accurate financial records for expenses, purchases, and inventory
Enter data into accounting systems and spreadsheets
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Inventory & Cost Tracking
Track inventory costs including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
Partner with production and inventory teams to reconcile records
Assist with cost analysis (materials, labor, overhead)
Bank Reconciliation
Reconcile bank statements with internal records
Investigate and resolve discrepancies
Payroll Support
Verify employee hours, overtime, and deductions
Assist with payroll processing and reporting
Financial Reporting
Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
Identify discrepancies and assist with corrections
Monitor accounts for inconsistencies
Tax & Compliance
Assist with tax filings (sales tax, VAT, etc.)
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Audit Support
Prepare documentation for internal and external audits
Maintain accurate and organized financial records
Administrative Support
File, scan, and organize financial documents
Collaborate with purchasing and production teams
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Experience in manufacturing accounting is a plus
Familiarity with inventory tracking, COGS, and cost accounting systems preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
