A company in the Mount Pleasant area is seeking an Accounting Clerk to support high-volume transaction processing and reconciliations across multiple accounting and operational systems. This role is best suited for someone who has worked in a production-style accounting environment and is comfortable spending the majority of the day in Excel and accounting systems. This position supports invoice imports, payment application, and monthly and quarterly reconciliations, working closely with multiple internal departments to ensure data accuracy between systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manipulate Excel spreadsheets for importing invoices into QuickBooks and other accounting systems
Process a high volume of accounts payable invoices and apply customer payments accurately
Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations, including reviewing large data sets
Monitor and manage incoming invoices through a shared accounting inbox
Provide backup support for check processing, claims, and invoice entry as needed

Qualifications:
Prior experience in accounts payable, accounting operations, or transactional accounting
Advanced Excel skills required, including pivot tables, formulas, and data manipulation
10-key proficiency required
Experience working with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred
Ability to work accurately in a high-volume, detail-driven environment
Comfortable working across multiple systems and reconciling discrepancies
