AppleOne has partnered with a client in San Clemente needing an Accounts Payable Clerk on a short-term basis.
The accounts payable clerk is responsible for supporting the accounting and finance team members with processing financial transactions that include but may not be limited to answering calls, distributing mail, verifying financial records, and posting daily invoices, receipts and payment transactions within the J.D. Edwards software system. The incumbent must also comply with company policies and procedures, and in accordance with finance regulatory guidelines.
Essential Duties:
•Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records within accounting systems.
•Match invoices, purchase orders, and receipts to ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting and financial records.
•Prepare and post journal entries under supervision.
•Reconcile bank statements and report any discrepancies to management.
•File, organize, and maintain accounting documents and supporting materials.
•Respond to internal and vendor inquiries regarding billing or payment status.
•Provide general clerical support to the accounting and finance department.
•Other duties as assigned.
This is a part-time temp role, 25 hours per week.
