Accounting Clerk
Location: Zip 27502 | Apex, NC
Rate: $21/hr
Schedule: 40 hrs/week; in-office Jan–Apr (tax season); possible hybrid May–Dec based on performance.
Job Description:
Provide bookkeeping and administrative support in a small accounting office. You’ll maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online, assist with tax-season prep, and manage client communications to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
• Bookkeeping support: data entry (A/R, A/P, invoices), bank reconciliations, general ledger tasks in QuickBooks Online
• Client communication: answer calls, schedule appointments, follow up on documents/inquiries
• Prepare and organize documents for tax prep; familiarity with Drake Tax and TaxDome is a plus
• Maintain organized files; assist with ad hoc office tasks
Requirements:
• Reliable attendance, especially Jan–Apr
• Self-motivated, accountable, detail-oriented
• Clear phone/email etiquette and basic customer service skills
• Experience with QuickBooks Online; office-software proficiency
• Must commute to Apex office; flexible schedule off-season
