Under moderate supervision, you will perform daily accounting and financial functions, ensure the accuracy of financial information inside of the insurance operations team.
Responsibilities:
Review, code, and enter insurance carrier commission revenue and premium payment adjustments for clients and client employees into relevant systems to ensure accurate general ledger posting.
Verify the completeness and consistency of financial transactions to meet internal controls, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Research and reconcile insurance revenue, commission, and premium payment adjustments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Respond to inquiries via email, phone, and mail from Finance, Insurance Operations, Compliance, and external partners such as insurance carriers and general agents.
Maintain and update department procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency; suggest improvements where applicable.
Participate in special projects or assignments as requested.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred.
1+ year of experience in accounting, finance, or insurance industry preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formatting and using formulas/functions.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Access or other relational databases for research and reconciliation.
Experience with HRIS.net is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under moderate supervision.
