Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate for a direct hire opportunity in Irvine, CA. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys hands-on financial operations, accurate recordkeeping, and supporting a busy finance team in a fast-paced environment.
The Accounting Associate will assist with general ledger activity, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close support. This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to a growing accounting function while working with collaborative team members, supportive leadership, and accounting systems such as QuickBooks and NetSuite.

Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
- Assist with bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and post journal entries and support month-end and year-end close activities.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records in compliance with internal accounting procedures.
- Assist with vendor management, invoice processing, and payment-related inquiries.
- Prepare financial reports, support data analysis, and provide accounting information to management as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $52,000 to $60,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
- Prepare and post journal entries while assisting with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and support reporting for management.
- Use accounting systems and Excel to process transactions, review data, and ensure accurate financial records.
- 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks is required.
- Experience with NetSuite is required or strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, with GAAP knowledge preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs considered a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a corporate accounting or multi-entity accounting environment.
- Exposure to month-end close processes.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
