Job Summary:

We are seeking an Accounting Associate for a contract/temporary opportunity in Anaheim, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong NetSuite experience who enjoys independent project work, financial data cleanup, reconciliation, and process improvement.

The Accounting Associate will support a major cleanup initiative focused on organizing historical project entries, improving revenue-related records, and helping leadership bring financial and operational data up to date. This opportunity offers meaningful ownership, direct collaboration with supportive leadership, and the chance to make a measurable impact on accounting accuracy, reporting quality, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review, clean up, and organize historical project entries in NetSuite.
- Assist with revenue realization, reconciliation, and validation of project-related financial data.
- Identify discrepancies, research issues, and ensure records are accurate, complete, and properly documented.
- Use Excel for tracking, reporting, reconciliation, and data analysis.
- Manage and prioritize cleanup tasks independently while maintaining consistent project progress.
- Communicate updates, findings, and project status with leadership through Outlook and internal channels.

Compensation and Benefits:

- Contract/temporary position.
- Salary range: $52,000 to $56,000 per year.
- Location: Anaheim, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

- Support a major NetSuite cleanup initiative involving historical project and revenue-related entries.
- Reconcile and validate project data to improve financial accuracy and reporting quality.
- Research discrepancies, organize records, and help create a more streamlined accounting process.
- Provide regular project updates to leadership and maintain clear communication on progress.
- Strong working knowledge of NetSuite is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is required.
- 3-5 years of accounting, finance, reconciliation, or related experience preferred for this level.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to work independently, stay focused on long-term projects, and manage priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data review skills.
- Comfortable working with financial and operational data in a project-based environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with project-based accounting or revenue recognition.
- Experience supporting accounting cleanup, data validation, or historical record reconciliation projects.
- Experience with AutoQuotes is a plus, but not required.
