We are looking for an Accounting Associate for a non-profit organization in Downtown Orlando!
$20/hour - temp to perm
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
The Accounting Associate should have a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or accounting or minimum of three years-experience working in administrative coordination and accounting roles. Experience with and/or ability to assimilate Real Page Financial Suite, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other Agency software systems as appropriate. Have the ability to communicate in English effectively both verbally and written.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Transacts and/or oversees data and journal entries covering A/P, A/R, Payroll; tracks agency income/expenditures to ensure timely remittances to vendors, records agency income, expenses, assets, and liabilities as well as other related financial activities.
• Develop/execute transaction processes and provide related accounting protocols for CCCF Housing, Inc.
• Reviews documents and invoices for proper account coding, maintains timely and accurate financial records for all general and subsidiary ledgers, and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Provide financial reporting to management by researching and analyzing account data.
• Compile financial statements, budgets and commentaries.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts.
• File and organize documents ensuring these are current and professionally managed for auditing and tax reporting purposes.
• Interface with Grants administration to interpret and list grant and/or loan reporting requirements; develop/execute related accounting protocols.
• Assemble documentation and prepare grant or loan invoices for approval.
• Provide monthly reporting of each grant to Grants Administration and related beneficiary.
• Requires an appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings.
