AppleOne has partnered with a company in San Clemente seeking an Accounting Assistant to CFO for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting and administrative professional who enjoys variety, teamwork, and supporting executive finance leadership in a fast-moving environment. Required Qualifications and Skills
The company has been established for more than 20 years and is experiencing continued growth following a recent acquisition. This role is ideal for someone who can wear many hats, stay organized, and confidently support accounting, billing, documentation, purchasing, logistics, and general finance operations. You will work closely with the CFO and Controller in a collaborative setting where reliability, a positive attitude, and attention to detail are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Support accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, vendor documentation, and payment-related follow-up.
- Assist the CFO and Controller with administrative, accounting, billing, invoicing, and reporting support.
- Prepare and maintain paperwork related to compliance, customs, international freight, and documentation.
- Create purchase orders, track information in Excel, and help maintain organized spreadsheets and records.
- Communicate with internal teams, customers, vendors, and logistics partners as needed.
- Assist with inventory tracking, documentation flow, and other operational support tasks in a growing manufacturing environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $26.00 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Support accounts payable, billing, invoicing, purchase orders, and financial documentation.
- Assist the CFO and Controller with accounting, administrative, compliance, and operational support.
- Maintain Excel spreadsheets, organize paperwork, and help track documentation, inventory, and logistics details.
- Communicate with internal teams, customers, vendors, and freight or logistics contacts as needed.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting, administrative, finance support, or operations support experience.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage a high volume of paperwork and compliance documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel for spreadsheets and organization.
- Ability to pivot quickly, prioritize changing tasks, and stay organized in a fast-paced growth environment.
- Reliable, professional, and able to work well with people across departments.
- Positive, can-do attitude with strong communication and follow-through skills.
- Comfortable making phone calls to customers, vendors, or internal contacts when needed.
- Computer savvy and able to learn systems and processes quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing or distribution industry experience.
- Experience using M3 or similar ERP/accounting systems.
- Experience with international freight, customs documentation, or working with China-related import/export paperwork.
- Exposure to logistics, inventory tracking, purchasing, or purchase order creation.
