Job Summary
A growing organization in the food and beverage production industry is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join its Irvine, CA office on a direct hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with 3 to 5 years of experience who enjoys hands-on accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation, payroll support, and general accounting operations.

The Accounting Assistant will report to the Accounting Manager and play an important role in keeping daily accounting processes accurate, timely, and organized. This position offers a stable Monday through Friday schedule, training on Sage 50 accounting software, and the opportunity to contribute to a professional, team-oriented office environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable by entering vendor invoices, preparing payment checks, generating reports, and responding to vendor inquiries.
- Manage accounts receivable tasks, including entering sales invoices, sending customer invoices, and processing cash receipts, checks, wire transfers, and miscellaneous payments.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to support accurate financial records.
- Support collections activity by sending customer statements and communicating with customers regarding aged receivables.
- Assist the Accounting Manager with payroll support, including verifying overtime and PTO information.
- Maintain organized filing for vendor records and invoices, and provide general office support for seminars, special events, and other business needs.

Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire
- Salary range: $50,000 to $65,000 per year
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Work arrangement: Onsite only in Irvine, CA. No remote or hybrid option

Additional Skills

Required qualifications and skills:
- Accounting BA degree required
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience required
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and payroll support
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for vendor, customer, and internal communication
