We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support the financial operations of a mission-driven organization focused on social and community solutions. This role is responsible for assisting with day-to-day accounting functions while helping support programs and services that positively impact the community.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
Prepare invoices, payment requests, reimbursements, and financial documentation
Maintain accurate financial records and accounting files
Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts
Support payroll processing and employee expense tracking
Assist with grant tracking, funding allocations, and budget documentation
Help prepare financial reports and support month-end close activities
Communicate with vendors, program staff, and external partners regarding financial inquiries
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and funding requirements
Provide administrative support to the finance and operations teams as needed
Qualifications
1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance support experience
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar systems preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a nonprofit, social services, healthcare, or community-based organization
Familiarity with grant funding and nonprofit accounting practices
Knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting processes
Passion for supporting community-focused initiatives and social impact programs
