Job Title: Accounting Assistant (Temp-to-Hire)

Salary: $24-$26/HR DOE
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join a government organization in Valley Center, CA. This temp-to-hire opportunity offers hands-on experience in accounting operations with the potential for long-term placement. The ideal candidate will have accounting knowledge, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable and ensure timely vendor payments
Reconcile credit card statements and manage related documentation
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
Apply overall accounting knowledge to support daily operations and maintain compliance
Assist with general accounting duties as needed
Qualifications:
Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Knowledge of government accounting procedures is a plus
