This Accounting Assistant Position Features:
Non Profit in Covina is seeking a detailed oriented accounting assistant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting their accounting operations by maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with various accounting tasks. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software. Under the supervision of the Finance Director, the accounting assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following job duties.

Duties:
Manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing
Manage accounts payable processes, including all check runs
Weekly bank deposits
Utilize QuickBooks for recording transactions' and generating reports
Support the Finance Director by helping with month-end closing activities
Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial concepts and regulations
Maintain organized financial records and files for easy retrieval

Experience:
3-5 years of experience in accounting role is required with preference given to candidates with experience in non -profit accounting environments
Experience in medical billing is highly desired with preference given to candidates with experience in drug medical billing
Strong financial acumen with a solid understanding of basic accounting principles
Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software is essential
Solid expertise in Microsoft Excel
Excellent math skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all financial transactions

Qualifications
Associates degree or higher strongly preferred
3-5 years of accounting experience
Strong familiarity with QuickBooks (Desktop), MS Excel (Formulas) and Outlook
Experience with Netsmart PCNX is highly desired
