We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Assistant to support our day-to-day financial operations. This role is essential to maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and proficient in accounting principles, with a strong understanding of financial processes and clerical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate accounting systems to record, store, and analyze financial data
Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy and proper coding
Classify, record, and summarize financial transactions using journals, ledgers, and databases
Debit, credit, and total accounts using spreadsheets and accounting tools
Operate 10-key calculators and office equipment to perform calculations and produce documents
Receive, record, and deposit cash, checks, and vouchers
Compile financial reports and tables related to cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable/receivable, and profit/loss
Code documents according to company procedures and reconcile discrepancies in records
Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
Maintain organized files and records for auditing and reporting purposes
Collaborate with team members to support accounting workflows and resolve issues
Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Associate degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred
Experience: 2–4 years in an accounting or bookkeeping role
Economics & Accounting: Knowledge of accounting principles, financial markets, and reporting standards
Clerical: Familiarity with office procedures, recordkeeping systems, and document design
Mathematics: Strong skills in arithmetic, algebra, and statistical analysis
Language: Proficient in written and verbal English, including grammar and composition
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies and improve processes
Organizational Skills: Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
