Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accountant for a direct hire opportunity in Placentia, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong bookkeeping experience who enjoys managing day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and supporting reliable financial reporting.

The Accountant will handle core accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, general ledger activity, and financial statement preparation. This is a strong opportunity for someone who values accuracy, ownership, and consistency in a collaborative environment where accounting plays an important role in business operations and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, expense tracking, and related accounting activity.
- Process payroll, employee deductions, tax setups, and related payroll documentation.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
- Maintain general ledger entries and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Prepare financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages.
- Assist with tax filings, audit support, discrepancy resolution, and financial accuracy initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

- $65,000 to $70,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage daily bookkeeping and accounting operations across AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, general ledger entries, and financial statements.
- Support tax preparation, audit requests, and financial documentation.
- Identify discrepancies, resolve accounting issues, and help ensure financial accuracy.

- 3 to 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, payroll, taxes, and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
- High school diploma required.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is a plus but not required.
- Experience in the lighting industry or a similar product-based environment.
