Job Summary
We are seeking an Accountant for a direct hire opportunity with a growing organization in the restaurant and food services industry. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong general ledger, reconciliation, and month-end close experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
The Accountant will play an important role in producing accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting the close process, and maintaining clean balance sheet accounts. Key Responsibilities
- Execute the period-end close process across multiple entities within defined deadlines.
- Perform reconciliations for bank, cash, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Record and reconcile sales, payroll, inventory, cost of goods sold, accruals, and related transactions.
- Maintain the general ledger and post recurring journal entries accurately and on schedule.
- Prepare supporting schedules, reports, and documentation for the close process.
- Review P&Ls and balance sheets to support accurate and timely financial reporting.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support month-end and period-end close activities across multiple entities.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy through journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Reconcile sales, payroll, inventory, cost of goods sold, accruals, and intercompany allocations.
- Review financial statements and account activity to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of general ledger, month-end close, or corporate accounting experience.
- Strong account reconciliation skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced close cycle.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a multi-entity accounting environment.
- NetSuite experience.
- Restaurant, food services, or hospitality industry experience.
- Additional general ledger or close experience for senior-level consideration.
