Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accountant for a direct hire opportunity in Bellevue, WA. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with 3 to 5 years of experience who enjoys working with financial data, preparing accurate reports, supporting compliance, and helping leadership make informed business decisions.

The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining financial records, analyzing statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring accounting activities align with reporting standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, review, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and financial reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
- Maintain general ledger activity, assign entries to proper accounts, and support accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, including reports comparing budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Compute taxes owed, support tax return preparation, and ensure compliance with payment, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze business trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to support forecasting and financial planning.
- Collaborate with internal teams, management, and external auditors to provide timely and reliable financial information.

- Salary range: $90,246 to $116,857 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Prepare and analyze financial statements, accounting records, and related reports.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance, and financial analysis activities.
- Maintain accounting systems, records, and documentation using current technology.
- Collaborate with management, internal teams, and auditors to support accurate financial reporting.

- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate accounting, accounting services, auditing, or a related finance environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, financial data analysis, and general accounting practices.
- Understanding of applicable laws, regulations, tax requirements, compliance standards, and reporting procedures.
- Proficiency with accounting software, financial analysis tools, document management systems, or related business technology.
- Strong mathematics, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage records, files, reports, and documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to management and stakeholders.
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage deadlines in a professional accounting environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with accounting software such as Accurate NXG, Blackbaud The Financial Edge, FlexiLedger, Intuit Quicken, or similar platforms.
- Experience with compliance, audit, document management, or financial analysis software.
- Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, internal audit support, external audit support, or tax preparation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
- CPA, CPA track, or other relevant accounting certification preferred.
