Job Summary
A manufacturing company in Alhambra, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support and lead day-to-day accounting operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys financial reporting, internal controls, reconciliations, compliance, and team oversight in a stable manufacturing environment.
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, supporting audits, and guiding Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff. This role offers a strong work-life balance with a 4x10 schedule, giving you a 3-day weekend every week. The environment is well-suited for someone who values structure, teamwork, accountability, and the opportunity to contribute directly to operational and financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, management cost reports, and periodic accounting reports.
- Maintain accounting records, reconciliations, debt payment schedules, and documentation in accordance with GAAP and internal standards.
- Support pricing decisions, operational benchmarking, and business analysis through ad-hoc financial reporting.
- Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, transaction controls, and internal control processes.
- Oversee local, state, and federal reporting, tax filings, debt covenant compliance, and external audit coordination.
- Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff, including training, work assignment, performance feedback, and issue resolution.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual Spanish skills are a strong plus.
-5+ years as an accountant
- Prior accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience supporting external audits, cost reporting, management reporting, or operational financial analysis is helpful.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- 4x10 schedule with Fridays off and a 3-day weekend every week.
- Location: Alhambra, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
- Oversee AP and AR processes to support timely vendor payments, collections, and accurate transaction management.
- Coordinate audit support, government reporting, tax filings, and debt compliance activities.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support management decisions, pricing, and operational performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency with Great Plains Dynamics and Microsoft Access.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, accounting procedures, reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Ability to interpret business periodicals, professional journals, financial information, and complex government regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional reports and present financial information clearly.
- Detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and able to manage deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Leadership ability with experience guiding, training, or supervising accounting support staff.
