Job Summary
A growing organization in Oxnard, CA is seeking an Accountant for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with 1-2 years of experience who is ready to continue building a strong foundation in general accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end support.
The Accountant will work as part of a collaborative accounting and finance team where accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement are valued. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including general ledger review and variance research.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and expense-related accounting functions as needed.
- Help prepare financial reports, schedules, and analysis for internal review.
- Ensure accounting transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with company policies and standard accounting practices.
- Partner with internal teams to resolve discrepancies, improve processes, and support timely financial reporting.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $56,000 to $80,000 per year DOE

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support general accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
- Assist with month-end close, financial reporting, and account analysis.
- Maintain accurate accounting documentation and support audit-ready records.
- Coordinate with internal departments to research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- 1-2 years of accounting, finance, or related experience.
- Working knowledge of general accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and communicate findings clearly.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general accounting or ERP systems.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience supporting month-end close, account reconciliations, accounts payable, or accounts receivable.
- Familiarity with GAAP and standard internal accounting controls.
- Prior experience in a corporate accounting, public accounting, or professional office environment.
