Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant for a direct hire opportunity in Alhambra, CA with a manufacturing organization. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership of financial reporting, internal controls, reconciliations, compliance, and team leadership.

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate accounting records, producing timely financial statements, supporting GAAP-compliant reporting, and supervising Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable personnel. Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and issue timely financial statements, management cost reports, and periodic financial reporting packages.
- Maintain accounting records, documented policies, procedures, transaction controls, and internal financial reporting standards.
- Coordinate preparation of the corporate annual financial report and serve as a primary contact for external auditors and the corporate accounting firm.
- Perform financial analysis to support pricing decisions, operational benchmarks, reconciliations, debt payments, and covenant compliance.
- Oversee local, state, and federal reporting and tax filing requirements.
- Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable personnel, including training, work assignments, performance feedback, and issue resolution.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay Rate: $30.00 to $32.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Direct hire.
- Schedule: 4 x 10 schedule, Monday through Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm, with Fridays off.
- Location: Alhambra, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Lead periodic financial reporting, financial statement preparation, and management cost reporting.
- Manage accounting records, internal controls, reconciliations, debt payments, and compliance requirements.
- Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable personnel and support accounting team performance.
- Coordinate audit support, government reporting, tax filings, and corporate accounting communication.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting is required.
- Proficiency with Great Plains Dynamics and Microsoft Access is required.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting standards, reconciliations, and accounting controls.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from business periodicals, professional journals, and government regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional reports and present financial information to managers and clients.
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet reporting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading or supervising Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff.
- Experience supporting external audits, annual financial reporting, and internal control documentation.
