Accountant

The Accountant is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting overall financial health and compliance. This role provides guidance to junior staff, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and plays a key role in maintaining efficient work flows while ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
Prepare and analyze financial reports to support business decisions and provide visibility into company performance.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and auditing processes across the organization.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies, ensuring data accuracy and financial integrity.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with internal departments and leadership to provide financial insights and support operations.
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, improving work flow efficiency and team performance.
Prepare reports and presentations for senior management.
Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
Contribute to process improvements and support additional accounting-related initiatives as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general MS Office tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience mentoring or supervising staff is preferred.
