Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to oversee the financial operations of our medical supply store in Tucson, AZ. This role is responsible for managing daily accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting inventory reconciliation, and ensuring compliance with tax and healthcare-related regulations. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and experienced in retail, wholesale, or medical supply accounting environments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and vendor accounts
Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions in coordination with purchasing and warehouse teams
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Process payroll and ensure accurate payroll tax reporting
Manage and file sales tax in compliance with Arizona regulations
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Oversee cash flow, expense tracking, and cost controls
Assist with audits and ensure compliance with GAAP standards
Maintain accurate and organized financial records
Provide financial insights and reports to support business decisions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years of accounting experience (medical supply, retail, or wholesale experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of inventory accounting methods (FIFO, LIFO, weighted average)
Understanding of Arizona sales tax requirements
High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Tucson, AZ 85714. The role operates in an office setting within a medical supply retail/warehouse environment and requires regular collaboration with management, sales, and warehouse teams.
