This role performs a variety of accounting functions requiring knowledge of general accounting principles and a broad understanding of company operations. The Bookkeeper is responsible for managing property and owner-related financial activity and ensuring accurate record-keeping across multiple entities. Record and code incoming invoices; route to appropriate Manager for approval

Post approved invoices into the correct QuickBooks Accounts Payable file
Select and process invoices for weekly check runs; update Cash Balance schedules
Enter checks into the bank's Positive Pay System; assemble and mail signed checks
Prepare and send customer invoices for monthly fees and reimbursable expenses; track collections
Post incoming payments to correct QuickBooks files and deposit checks electronically
Assist with annual Operating Expense reconciliations and ad hoc reporting
Reconcile vendor statements; investigate and resolve discrepancies
Send and track W-9s and TINs for vendors; support 1099 preparation
Reconcile investment accounts and record journal entries
Maintain records for personal accounts and assist with year-end tax workpapers
Review annual tax returns for accuracy and completeness

Qualifications
Education:
Two years of college-level accounting coursework or equivalent experience

Experience:
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate
Knowledge of Operating Expense (OpEx) coding and reconciliation
Technical Skills:
Intermediate proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, MS Excel, and MS Word
Administrative Skills:
Familiarity with office systems such as email, file management, form design, and standard procedures
Additional Requirements:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer service orientation
