We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant. This role is instrumental in maintaining the financial health of the organization through accurate accounting, financial reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Experience in cost accounting and project cost tracking is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, amortizations, and expense classifications
Perform general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Support month-end and year-end close procedures
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with precise coding by product line and department
Reconcile vendor statements
Coordinate payroll allocations in conjunction with the HR/payroll provider
Assist in preparing internal financial reports for senior leadership
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting efforts
Provide documentation for audits, tax filings, and lender requirements
Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Travel Requirement:
Occasional travel to our Lancaster, California office may be required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2–5 years of accounting experience; manufacturing sector experience preferred
Proficiency in SAP and strong skills in Microsoft Excel
Thorough knowledge of US GAAP
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Proven ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
Physical Requirements:
This position is primarily office-based; however, occasional lifting of boxes or materials up to 50 pounds may be required.
