Pay: $25/hour | Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Bakersfield, CA

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. This role has opened due to an internal promotion—our current Accountant has been promoted to Accounting Manager.

Position Summary:
This position is ideal for someone who recently graduated with a degree in accounting and is looking to build a solid foundation in the field. We value individuals who are coachable, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and handle sensitive financial information with the highest level of confidentiality.

Qualifications:
Must have at least 1 year of experience in accounting
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field (required)
Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply
High level of integrity and discretion when working with confidential information
Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn

Key Responsibilities:
Post journal entries and ensure all transactions are properly recorded
Maintain and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Assist with preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports
Review expense and payroll records as assigned
Keep financial databases updated for accuracy and accessibility
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly financial reports
Support month-end and year-end closings
Perform general ledger operations
Help implement and maintain internal accounting procedures and controls
