We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to manage general accounting operations and ensure compliance with legal and financial regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate financial reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget preparation, and maintaining the general ledger.
The Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records in accordance with GAAP, process journal entries and ensure proper documentation as well as reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements.
In this role you will assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and variances and support month-end and year-end close processes.
The Accountant will maintain and update fixed asset schedules and depreciation records, ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies as well as assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
The Accountant will prepare tax filings and coordinate with external tax advisors as needed as well as perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
CPA certification or progress toward certification (preferred)
2+ years of experience in accounting or a related role
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficient in Microsoft Excel pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and accounting software QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
