We are a growing company seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team. If you are hands-on, well-rounded in general accounting practices, and have a passion for managing financial processes efficiently, we want to hear from you. A background in construction accounting is a major plus, but not a requirement.
Position Overview:
As an Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting our financial operations. This role requires proficiency in various accounting tasks, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), payroll, HR functions, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close procedures. You will work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
Manage payroll and related HR functions
Perform bank reconciliations and assist with cash management
Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close activities
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial discrepancies
Assist with financial reports and analysis for management
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as an accountant or bookkeeper with hands-on experience in general accounting areas
Strong understanding of AP, AR, payroll, HR, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Excel, etc.)
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in construction accounting or familiarity with industry-specific financial processes
Knowledge of relevant accounting regulations and standards
