Job Summary

A well-established insurance brokerage in San Rafael, CA is seeking an experienced Account Manager specializing in Employee Benefits to join its growing client service team. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a proactive benefits professional who enjoys managing client relationships, supporting small group accounts, and delivering consultative service throughout the renewal and open enrollment process. Remote work with ability to drive to San Francisco, Marin, East Bay and on occaision Santa Rosa. Must be bilingual Spanish/ English

Key Responsibilities

- Manage a book of small group employee benefits clients and serve as the primary point of contact for questions, renewals, and benefit administration.
- Coordinate carrier marketing, renewal strategy, proposals, plan comparisons, and client presentations.
- Lead open enrollment and new hire benefit meetings both virtually and in person.
- Resolve claims, billing, eligibility, enrollment, and carrier-related service issues.
- Maintain accurate client records and benefit data in systems such as Ease, Employee Navigator, Salesforce, and related platforms.
- Support compliance with ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, and California insurance regulations.
- Must be bilingual Spanish/ English

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $90,000 to $130,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage employee benefits client relationships and day-to-day account service needs.
- Coordinate renewals, carrier marketing, proposals, and benefit plan comparisons.
- Lead open enrollment meetings and support benefit administration activities.
- Resolve client service issues related to claims, billing, eligibility, and carriers.

- 3+ years of employee benefits or insurance account management experience.
- Active California Life and Health Insurance License required.
- Strong knowledge of group medical, dental, vision, life, and ancillary benefit plans.
- Experience using benefits administration or CRM systems such as Ease, Employee Navigator, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, organization, follow-up, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple client priorities with accuracy and professionalism.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation for local client visits.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Ease and/or Employee Navigator.
- HubSpot experience.
- Prior experience supporting small group employee benefits accounts in a brokerage environment.
