We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented AVP–Credit Analyst/Underwriter to join our Commercial Lending team. Under minimal supervision, this individual will work independently to perform credit analysis, loan portfolio management, and underwriting functions, supporting small business, commercial, and commercial real estate lending. The AVP–Credit Analyst/Underwriter will exercise independent judgment in analyzing business and personal credit information for borrowers and guarantors to assess risk and support sound lending decisions. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and analyze credit risk within the loan portfolio using portfolio management software, identifying geographic and property-type concentrations and higher-risk relationships. Perform financial analysis and spread financial statements and tax returns for borrowers and guarantors. Prepare detailed credit analyses and loan authorization packages for Loan Committee review. Conduct stress testing on property types and construction projects, support annual CRE loan reviews, and monitor covenants and ticklers. Review credit reports, appraisals, and leases to identify potential risks, and collaborate with Senior Loan Underwriters and Loan Officers to resolve issues and obtain necessary documentation. Participate in annual CRA volunteer service (minimum 10 hours) and perform additional duties as assigned. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Must have 3–5 years of commercial banking experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Preferred). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in Excel and spreadsheet software is required, as well as the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, full-time office environment. Position is 100% onsite.
