Accounts Receivable Specialist
Irvine, CA
Up to $27/hr. DOE
Temporary (4–6 Month Assignment)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist for a temporary opportunity with a well-established company in Irvine. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced accounting environment and takes pride in accuracy and follow-through.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply customer payments (credit card, ACH, checks)
Review and reconcile daily cash receipts
Follow up with customers to obtain remittance details
Research and resolve payment discrepancies, including short/over payments
Partner with internal departments to ensure accurate account reconciliation
Maintain organized digital payment documentation
Provide general accounting and administrative support as needed
Qualifications:
1+ year of accounts receivable or related accounting experience preferred
Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential financial information
Strong communication and time management skills
Comfortable working independently in a deadline-driven environment
