We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable Specialist/Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing billing, payments, and bookkeeping functions that help keep the firm operating efficiently. You will work closely with attorneys and staff to ensure client accounts are accurate and up to date. This position also includes occasional administrative support to help maintain smooth office operations.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and send client invoices
Track, monitor, and follow up on outstanding payments
Record payments and reconcile client accounts
Manage billing processes, including:
Scheduling time with six attorneys to review monthly time entries
Reviewing entries to determine billable time
Drafting invoices and presenting them to attorneys for final approval
Following up with clients via phone and email to collect outstanding balances (scripts provided)
Conducting collections efforts in a professional, pleasant, but firm manner
Assist with bank reconciliations and month-end reporting
Collaborate with team members to resolve billing questions or discrepancies
Provide occasional administrative support to ensure efficient office operations
Qualifications
Experience in accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or accounting (law firm experience is a plus but not required)
Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Clear communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude
Logical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while remaining accountable
Strong time management and prioritization skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Professional and courteous when interacting with clients, including in collections situations
