A well-established construction and infrastructure organization is seeking an experienced AR Billing Specialist to support high-volume commercial and municipal projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong construction accounting knowledge, experience handling AIA billing, and familiarity with Florida lien law requirements.
This is a fully onsite opportunity offering long-term growth potential and direct exposure to executive leadership.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and process monthly AIA progress billings using G702/G703 forms
• Maintain Schedule of Values (SOV), retainage tracking, and work-in-progress reporting
• Manage accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances
• Communicate with contractors, municipalities, and vendors to resolve billing discrepancies
• Handle Florida lien law documentation, including NTOs, waivers, and deadline tracking
• Monitor subcontractor Certificates of Insurance (COIs) for compliance
• Assist with accounting system transitions and maintain accurate job costing records
• Support payment application tracking and documentation management
Qualifications
• 3+ years of Accounts Receivable or Billing experience within construction, paving, or heavy civil industries
• Strong knowledge of AIA billing procedures
• Experience with Vista Viewpoint and/or Sage/Timberline accounting software
• Understanding of Florida construction lien laws
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong communication and collections experience
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Preferred Background
• Experience working with municipal or DOT-related projects
• Familiarity with retainage and compliance-heavy billing environments
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced construction accounting setting
