Outstanding AR/Billing Specialist position features:
a. Processes heavy volume of field tickets to meet daily and weekly deadlines for payroll and billing:
i. Understands specific and detailed Company and Customer billing requirements (coding, rates, etc.) to ensure that billing and payroll electronic data is accurate.
ii. Sorts and collates heavy volume of tickets according to customer billing requirements.
iii. Audits previews for accuracy, researching and resolving entry errors prior to external electronic transmission and upload into payroll.
b. Exports batches to financial billing system and prints invoices and batch controls in financial billing system.
c. Utilizes e-mail to monitor electronic approved and/or rejected billing from customer.
d. Submits electronic billing to customer utilizing multiple electronic processes and procedures for verification and transmission.
e. Monitors billing transmission status (successful vs. failure)
i. Researches and resolves unsuccessful transmissions.
ii. Utilizes tools in Customer electronic systems to modify billing transmittals.
f. Manipulates and links in various Company and Customer software programs in a timely and accurate manner.
g. Routinely files according to customer billing requirements.
h. Recommends database changes as necessary and works with other departmental personnel to resolve problems within the database.
i. Maintains ongoing communication with Billing Manager and Customers regarding billing issues and progress.
j. Communicates and resolves ticket discrepancies with Field Supervisors/Managers on a timely basis.
Minimum 3 years cumulative experience in credit, collections, billing accounts receivable and/or any other combination of skills and experience that qualify you to perform the essential functions of the position or an undergraduate degree in Accounting or a related business field and three years cumulative experience in credit, collections, billing, and/or accounts receivable.
