We're seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead daily AP operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for overseeing invoice processing, vendor payments, reconciliations, and AP team performance while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls. Responsibilities
The ideal candidate has supervisory experience, strong ERP system knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to manage high-volume transactions while supporting business operations across multiple departments.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of accounts payable experience
1+ year of supervisory, lead, or management experience
Experience processing high-volume invoices and vendor payments
Strong understanding of AP processes, reconciliations, and internal controls
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, food production, distribution, or related industries
Experience supporting month-end close activities
Technical Skills
Experience with one or more of the following:
SAP
Oracle
Microsoft Dynamics
NetSuite
Sage
Similar ERP systems
Advanced proficiency in:
Microsoft Excel
Outlook
Word
Teams
Supervise daily accounts payable operations and support AP staff
Review invoices for accuracy, coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
Ensure timely processing of vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and recurring payments
Monitor AP aging reports and resolve outstanding issues
Manage ACH payments, wire transfers, and check runs
Maintain positive vendor relationships and respond to payment inquiries
Reconcile AP records and support month-end close activities
Assist with audits, compliance requirements, and tax-related documentation
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and process controls
Partner with accounting, operations, procurement, and other departments to ensure accurate expense tracking
Train and mentor team members while monitoring productivity and performance
