Key Responsibilities of the AP Specialist:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Match purchase orders with invoices and verify approvals
- Prepare and execute payments via check, ACH, or wire transfer
- Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies
- Assist with month-end closing by reconciling AP transactions
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries
- Support audits by providing documentation and reports
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth AP workflow
Qualifications for the AP Specialist:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of accounts payable experience
- Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
