Do you have experience as an AP Specialist? We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join an accounting team in the Aliquippa, PA area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining vendor relationships.
Responsibilities of the AP Specialist:
- Process high-volume invoices and expense reports accurately and efficiently.
- Review and verify invoice details, including purchase orders and payment terms.
- Ensure timely payments to vendors and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Maintain vendor records and manage communications regarding payment inquiries.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and account reconciliations.
- Support audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper coding and approvals.
Requirements of the AP Specialist:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
