detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk with construction industry experience to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, computer savvy, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The AP Clerk will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts (3-way matching)
Ensure proper coding of invoices to general ledger accounts
Assist with weekly check runs and electronic payments
Maintain vendor files and respond to vendor inquiries
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Support month-end close activities related to accounts payable
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
1–2 years of Accounts Payable experience, construction industry experience required
Strong understanding of AP processes and invoice workflows
Must be computer savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Experience with job costing, lien releases, or construction documentation is a plus
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Team-oriented with a proactive approach
