Job Title: Finance Associate (AP/AR Specialist)
Location: Newberry, SC
Pay: $25/hour
Assignment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM (4 day workweek, no Fridays)
About the Opportunity
We are a recruiting and staffing agency assisting a client in Newberry with hiring a Finance Associate to support their accounting team. This role focuses on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions and is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and experienced in handling financial transactions, especially within property management environments.
Key Responsibilities
Process Accounts Payable invoices, averaging approximately 25 payments per week
Manage Accounts Receivable for tenant payments, primarily through electronic systems
Process tenant check payments as needed
Maintain accurate financial records and proper documentation of transactions
Assist with payment tracking and account reconciliation
Respond to payment inquiries from internal teams and tenants
Provide general accounting and administrative support to the finance department
Qualifications
2 to 3 years of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
Property management accounting experience strongly preferred
Familiarity with Yardi software is preferred but not required
Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a structured environment
