Job Title: Air Import Coordinator (CargoWise Experienced)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Air Import Coordinator with hands-on experience using CargoWise to manage and oversee international air import shipments. This role is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant handling of freight from origin to final delivery, while maintaining strong communication with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and manage end-to-end air import shipments, including tracking, documentation, and delivery arrangements
• Process and manage shipments within CargoWise, ensuring accurate data entry and milestone updates
• Communicate with overseas agents, airlines, customs brokers, trucking companies, and customers
• Prepare and review import documentation such as air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and arrival notices
• Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or issues
• Coordinate customs clearance and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
• Arrange final delivery and confirm proof of delivery
• Handle customer inquiries, provide shipment updates, and maintain high service levels
• Ensure accurate billing, cost entry, and file closure in CargoWise
• Maintain organized digital shipment files and documentation
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in air import freight forwarding or logistics
• Proficiency in CargoWise (required)
• Strong understanding of air freight processes and import regulations
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with customs clearance procedures is a plus
Preferred Skills:
• Experience working with international agents and carriers
• Knowledge of Incoterms and international shipping documentation
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage urgent shipments
