Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist who enjoys managing the full accounts receivable cycle, working closely with customer accounts, and supporting accurate financial reporting in a fast-paced, product-based environment.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will join a collaborative accounting team that values accuracy, communication, accountability, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the full accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, payment application, and customer account reconciliation.
- Monitoring aging reports, following up on outstanding balances, and supporting efforts to reduce past-due accounts.
- Researching and resolving billing discrepancies, payment issues, and customer account inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Assisting with month-end close activities, including reconciliations, general ledger support, and routine financial reporting.
- Supporting internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to information requests.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate billing, timely payment processing, and clean customer account records.


Salary range: $75,000 to $80,000 per year.
Job type: Direct hire.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Hybrid, with in-office days on Wednesday and Thursday.
Location: Long Beach/Carson, CA area.

Additional Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills:
- 3 to 5 years of accounts receivable experience.
- Strong understanding of invoicing, collections, cash application, account reconciliation, and aging reports.
- Experience supporting month-end close, general ledger activity, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Ability to research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and customer account inquiries.
- Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and organizational skills.
- Professional communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, product-based accounting environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in clothing, textile manufacturing, consumer products, distribution, or another product-based business environment.
- Experience supporting internal or external audits.
- Familiarity with accounting systems, ERP platforms, and intermediate Excel functions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
