Job Summary

A growing design and production team in Orlando, FL is seeking a 3D AutoCAD Detailer for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented CAD professional who enjoys transforming concepts, specifications, and production requirements into accurate 2D and 3D drawings.

The 3D AutoCAD Detailer will support custom projects, exhibits, displays, and production designs in a collaborative environment where technical accuracy directly impacts the finished product. This opportunity offers a hybrid schedule, steady Monday through Friday hours, and the chance to work closely with design, production, and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Create detailed production-ready drawings using 2D AutoCAD, 3D AutoCAD, CAD tools, and ExpoCAD.
- Develop plan views, elevations, isometric views, section views, detailed drawings, CNC layouts, and DXF files.
- Translate design specifications, estimates, measurements, and production requirements into accurate technical drawings.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials, including part numbers, materials, dimensions, and project details.
- Organize project files in Autodesk Vault while following templates, SOPs, naming conventions, and production standards.
- Collaborate with design, production, and leadership teams to resolve questions, identify issues early, and keep projects on schedule.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $28.00 per hour.
- Employment type: Temp-to-hire.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Work arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
- Location: Orlando, FL.
- Occasional evening, weekend, or overtime work may be required based on project deadlines.
- Remote work requirements include reliable hardwired or high-speed internet, an additional monitor, and a professional distraction-free workspace.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Create production-ready 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for custom design and production projects.
- Prepare technical layouts, CNC files, DXF files, section views, elevations, and Bills of Materials.
- Review project specifications and identify drawings that may require engineering review or an engineering stamp.
- Maintain accurate project files, status updates, and time tracking within internal systems.

- 1+ year of professional drafting experience required, preferably with 3-5 years of relevant CAD or detailing experience.
- Strong 2D and 3D AutoCAD experience required.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD modeling, drafting, dimensioning, layout tools, and technical drawing standards.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, measurements, materials, and production requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and deadline management.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with design, production, and leadership teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in a manufacturing, production, tradeshow, exhibit, events, or face-to-face marketing environment.
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Vault and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- Experience with ExpoCAD, Flex by Freeman, or Smart Panel.
- AutoCAD Certified Professional certification.
- Associate degree or 2-4 years of college coursework in drafting, design, engineering, or a related field.
