Job Summary
We are seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Oxnard, CA. This role supports a fast-paced food and beverage manufacturing environment producing high-quality flavor and ingredient solutions, including pastes, purées, extracts, concentrates, syrups, and custom blends.

The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor will lead daily manufacturing operations, support a small production team, and help ensure safety, quality, productivity, and schedule goals are consistently met. This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on production leader who enjoys coaching employees, solving operational challenges, and working in a collaborative environment with supportive leadership and long-term career potential.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate second-shift production activities to meet safety, quality, efficiency, and daily output goals.
- Lead, coach, and support a team of approximately 7 production employees during the shift.
- Monitor workflow, staffing, production priorities, and equipment performance to maintain schedule adherence.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food manufacturing standards, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
- Identify and resolve production issues quickly to reduce downtime and maintain efficient operations.
- Maintain accurate production records, including output, labor hours, material usage, and shift updates.

Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $28 to $35 per hour.
- Job Type: Temp-to-hire.
- Schedule: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
- Must be able to train on 1st shift.
- Location: Oxnard, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Supervise second-shift food production operations and daily workflow.
- Lead production employees to meet quality, safety, and productivity goals.
- Monitor production schedules, staffing needs, equipment performance, and material usage.
- Maintain accurate shift documentation and communicate production updates.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant production, manufacturing, or operations leadership experience.
- Experience supervising or leading employees in a fast-paced production environment.
- Knowledge of food manufacturing, food safety, GMP, quality standards, or sanitation practices preferred for success in this role.
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work second shift and train on first shift as required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate production records.
- Ability to respond quickly to production issues, changing priorities, and operational needs.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in food and beverage production, ingredient manufacturing, flavor production, or related food processing environments.
- Experience leading small to mid-sized production teams.
- Familiarity with production reporting, labor tracking, material usage documentation, and shift handoff communication.
- Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills are a plus.
