We are seeking an experienced Inventory Specialist – Maintenance for a contract/temporary opportunity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Pittsburg, CA. This hands-on role supports maintenance and production operations by ensuring spare parts, MRO inventory, consumables, and related materials are accurately tracked, organized, and available when needed.

The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing, warehouse, or maintenance inventory experience, along with SAP or CMMS knowledge, Excel proficiency, and the ability to manage parts, cycle counts, vendors, and storage organization with accuracy and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain maintenance spare parts, MRO inventory, and consumable materials to support production and maintenance needs.
- Perform cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, prepare inventory reports, and maintain accurate system records.
- Use SAP or CMMS tools for inventory control, invoicing support, purchase order tracking, and material transactions.
- Organize inventory storage areas according to 5S standards and ensure parts are labeled, accessible, and audit-ready.
- Coordinate with vendors and support vendor-managed inventory programs, replenishment activities, and material handling.
- Partner with maintenance teams to ensure required parts are available and inventory processes support operational uptime.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour.

Additional Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage maintenance spare parts and consumable inventory in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Perform cycle counts, inventory audits, reporting, and inventory discrepancy resolution.
- Use SAP or CMMS systems to support inventory control, invoicing, and purchase order tracking.
- Maintain organized warehouse and inventory areas while supporting vendor coordination and material handling.

- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, maintenance, or related inventory environments.
- Strong experience with MRO inventory, spare parts tracking, inventory control, and cycle count accuracy.
- SAP or CMMS experience is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, and inventory documentation.
- Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Knowledge of inventory audits, warehouse organization, vendor coordination, purchase orders, and material handling.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active industrial environment.
- Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting maintenance teams in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
- Familiarity with 5S organization standards and audit-readiness practices.
- Prior experience with vendor-managed inventory programs or spare parts replenishment processes.
